Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Peek (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on any Apple device you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

3. Description of Service

Peek uses on-device artificial intelligence to generate summaries of content you provide. Summaries are produced by Apple’s Foundation Models running locally on your device. No content is sent to external servers for processing.

Peek accepts five types of input, all processed on-device: web pages (URLs you share or paste), photos containing text (OCR via Apple’s Vision framework, then summarization), PDF documents (text extraction via PDFKit, then summarization), text you paste, and text you highlight in another app via the Selected Text Action Extension.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to provide any content to the App for summarization, including respecting the intellectual property and privacy rights of others.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Summaries produced by Peek are machine-generated approximations. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or miss important context. You should not rely on Peek summaries as a substitute for reading or reviewing the original source material, particularly for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical information. OCR text extraction from photos may also be imperfect, especially for handwritten or low-quality images, and summaries based on OCR output reflect the quality of the underlying text recognition.

5. Subscriptions

Peek offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (“Peek Pro”). By subscribing:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Subscription prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the App (excluding user content and third-party content fetched from the web) remain with 3paws AI. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the App.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to use the App to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempt to circumvent subscription requirements or access controls.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Peek processes all content on-device and does not collect personal data for advertising or tracking purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 3paws AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue arising from your use of the App.

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The current version will always be available at peek.3paws.ai/terms/.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
